MyST PortAmp is a small-sized portable headphone amplifier that can significantly improve a sound quality of your portable or home audio system.
Frankly speaking, it isn’t the smallest or the lightest amplifier in the world, but still, it can easily fit any pocket. Moreover, Myst PortAmp is definitely one of the greatest sounding portable amps.
It’s headphone out has an enormous power – up to 1500 mWt at 50 Ohm! This allows the amplifier to drive almost any kind of headphone, excepting extremely low-efficient isodynamics. MyST PortAmp is compatible with most headphones that have impedance from 8 to 600 Ohm. And its hiss level is so low, that you can hear a slight hiss from it only using high-sensitive IEMs.
The main thing about MyST PortAmp’s sound signature is naturalness. It may be even said, that this amplifier doesn’t have its own signature, but allows every other component of audio system (player, headphones, cables etc.) to show theirs.
Tonal balance of MyST PortAmp is almost flat, with a slight prevalence of bass. This doesn’t mean that low frequencies are slow and boomy. In fact, they are fast, deep and very detailed. Using a pair of high-quality headphones with MyST PortAmp, can enjoy every single note of any low-frequency instrument, as well as every single decay and reverb.
Midrange has nothing much to be said about because… it’s nearly perfect. “The heart of music” is represented by MyST PortAmp with a great resolution. Every artist’s voice, every instrument it reproduces clearly, naturally, allowing all details of a phonogram to reach the listener’s ear.
MyST PortAmp’s trebles are also well-detailed, but, compared to stationary HI-End amplifiers, they may turn out to be a bit harsh. There’s nothing to worry about: harshness of MyST PortAmp’s trebles can’t take away the pleasure of listening to your favorite music and getting vibes!
